Help To Buy

Buy your home with as little as 5% deposit with additional Help to Buy (Scotland) funding for small developers.

Turnberry Homes is delighted to be part of the Small Developers Help to Buy (Scotland) scheme available from 1st March 2016.

As a registered participating homebuilder we are excited to help first-time buyers and people already on the property ladder to purchase their new Turnberry Home quicker with more financial help from the Government.

This is a great opportunity for Scottish homebuyers as you pay just 85% now and upto 15% of the remaining amout is provided by a Government equity loan. It is also interest free for the term of the loan and you own 100% of the home. The scheme aims to make mortgages more readily available to those who cannot afford a large deposit. Why not take advantage of this scheme so you can move into your new Turnberry quicker?

The scheme will be open to buyers from 1 March 2016 onwards.

Key Q&A’s on Help to Buy (Scotland)

Is Help to Buy for me?

  • If you have been struggling to save up for a deposit and are ready to move to a new home, then Help to Buy is perfect for you.
  • If you can reasonably afford more than 90% of the full purchase price, the scheme may not be for you, but we have other offers that may suit you.

Am I eligible?

  • If you are unsure about your eligibility, we will put you in touch with an Independent Financial Advisor who will help you discover if you qualify and help you with your application.

How do I apply?

  • First and foremost you will need to contact us.
  • We will then let you see the showhome in the preferred development.
  • We will then refer you to our financial advisor, who will help you identify if you qualify for the scheme.
  • You must reserve your Turnberry Home with us as soon as you hear back about your eligibility so we can proceed with your application.
  • Our financial advisor will then put you in touch with our agent who administers the scheme and will help you process your application form.
  • The agent will then contact you and let you know if you are eligible to receive Government funds.
  • Maximum purchase price is £200,000 in 2017 and the mortgage must be based on a repayment basis.

Can I own another home and buy a new home with Help to Buy?

  • No, the property you purchase under the scheme must be your only sole residence. If you own a home already, you must sell it before you buy a new home with Help to Buy scheme.
